Borystheneion
The elven realm of Borytheneion lies far to the North among the thick and wintry pine forests of the Belphiath. The centre of the realm lies at the confluence of two rivers into the Borysta River. Borystheneion north of the river was never part of the Taorminite empire, and fought off the Taorminites in the bloody Winter War.
The Borystheniote elves are famously ill-tempered and unforgiving of those who stumble across their sacred sites, and are more dour and savage than most of their southern kin. Their skillful hunters supplement the fruits of their Tryphaetha-trees with quarry tracked down in the snow.
