An-Erul Mashieck

The An-Erul Mashieck ('non-Erul pasture') is the name given by the Eliomandrine empire to a wide highland corridor between the Gates of Gol captured during Kendra's conquests and permanently ceded to the Eliomandrines during the Breaking of the Pact.   After the Breaking of the Pact, twelve Erul tribes (the Tavioscendari) emigrated en masse with their herds and possessions from the Erul Steppe and took control of an equal portion of the land. The previous Taorminite inhabitants of the land either chose to leave or were reduced to the level of serfs, who now belonged to their new masters. Twelve other tribes from the Erul Steppe received land around Taormun (the Oshiondari).   The An-Erul Mashieck includes some large stretches of open grassland or grass-covered hills, and is particularly useful as route of travel for the horse-mounted Eliomandrine armies.
