Mickey's Island

The island is covered in forest. It is also strangely warm for the area. The climate around this area is a cold tundra with sparse tree life.

There are species that only grow here. Plants that are strong enough to be predators for mammals. Vines that seem to have a mind of their own. Growing and creating architecture for life around the forest. The animals here are very close to nature. The line between plant and animal are very blurred, animals having flora traits and vice versa. Even the land seems to shift almost as if everything in the forest is one.   Life seems to sprout from the tree of life.

The land around the island go through cycles of deep freeze and more temperate times. However, the island itself always seems to stay the same weather. If it rains, it turns into a fine mist as it approaches the island until it eventually disipates into the air. When there are earthquakes or tremors, the land seems to absorb the movement and keep everything in the forest still.

The tree of life is an anomoly that was created by the great divide. It is a piece of arcane residue to that manifests itself as a tree that grants life to the area around it. It's so powerful, it creates it's own life in the form of fairies. Every 15 years a new fairy is born from a the sap of the tree of life. Fairies being the most rare race in Carthya, most people don't know they exist. And the ones who know of fairies believe them to be a myth or a long extinct race. The tree itself radiates the force of life and has a mind of it's own using and creating life to keep itself safe.

Species that live on this island aren't found outside of the island. Mixing plant and animal life together to form an amalgamation of new species.   List of species: (to be filled in later)

The forest is home to the tree of life that produces a sap that has a lot of magical properties. Being able to heal life and restore energy. Even bring people back to life in larger doses. However, the sap has never left the tree left alone forest. If someone were to get their hands on it, they would be one of the riches most powerful person living.

The island was discovered by Mickey Aralar. He was an explorer that was mapping out the northern regions of Niclari when he stumbled across the island. People knew of his travels and were expecting him back. When they went to go search for him, they found his seafairing vehicle on the islands shore but no other sign of Mickey. People that searched for Mickey went into the forest but never came out. Even his wife went into the forest in a desprate attempt to find his body but never returned.   The island was named Mickey's Island in honor of his achievements and the island was set as forbidden but on occasion someone will wonder into the forest in search of answers, as a test of power, or egged on by others as a cruel joke and never return.

The island is forbidden from entry but due to the nature of the island itself, it's not enforced on the island itself. There is no force that is stopping someone form visiting the island but if they enter the forest they don't come back. On occasion, researches may come to the island but are then dissuade by the number of abandoned boats and ships on the shore.
