Apprentice Derek Millam Addams (a.k.a. Cherry)
Is a student working under a mid-level cleric. He is new to magic and still doesn't know how to cast magical spells but is practicing and is working at Aloe's and Buys.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Derek is an average height skinny teenager. He doesn't look like he could lift much and doesn't seem to walk and act with any sort of confidence in anything.
Facial Features
His face is covered in pimples and acne scars. He also has a pronounced brow.
Special abilities
Derek is learning magic but doesn't have the ability to cast any spells. He does know a little about casting magic but not enough to know what specific spells are being cast and not even enough knowledge to know if a spell is being casted.
Apparel & Accessories
While he's working at Aloe's and Buys he is wearing the cleric uniform that his mentor gave him. During his off time he is usually just wearing commoner clothes. Almost disappearing in the lower class mass of people.
Specialized Equipment
He has a book of spells that most level 1 clerics know. He also has a few more simple spells that were given to him by his mentor. Simple spells like mage hand and minor illusion.

Personal history
Derek was born in Rowsite and is comes from a small large family of children. He is the youngest of all them. Most of the family grew up in a small village of 80 people. The influence of that still follows the family and especially Derek.
Education
Derek has always been homeschooled because of his parents mistrust for the education system. Due to financial troubles, Derek has been working under a human cleric to start getting money. He's currently studying under the cleric but doesn't pay much attention.
Employment
Currenly he is working as an apprentice under a human cleric. However, the reason he signed up as a cleric apprentancship is becuase of the opportunity to get endorsed for a job at an apothecary. He is working at one of the many Aloe's and Buys making about 2CP a day.
Accomplishments & Achievements
He is so young he hasn't had the opportunity to do any accomplsihments. However, his parents are quite proud that he was able to get an apprenticship.
Failures & Embarrassments
Derek is often reminded of his lack of intelligence. Since he became an apprentice he is starting to discover of little of the world that he knows.
Mental Trauma
He has had a trouble childhood. Not knowing when his next meal would come from. He has never had solid stability and has manifested itself into a sort of self-destructive personality.
Intellectual Characteristics
Derek knows that he doesn't know much. However, he doesn't like to admit it. Often times when he is put in a situation where his lack of knowledge is acknowledged, he tries to cover why he wouldn't know something or just lies about having that knowledge beforehand.
Morality & Philosophy
Derek has been raised by parents who were born and lived most of their lives in a human village. They don't know much about the world but tend to blame all of their problems on other races. This has trickled down to create a sort of racism towards other races especially ones that aren't considered savory.
If they're not human, they're not to be trusted.

He's working to get money to support his family. He doesn't have much ambition beyond wanting to be rich without any real skills or knowledge on how to get there. If there was an opportunity to easily gain money he would take it.

Is a racists without really understanding where the hate comes from. Also he is greedy and would be willing to do a bad things for coin. He hasn't ever done something of his own accord but in the future that may be something that he's willing to do.

Doesn't have that much money to upkeep his appearance, so he is a bit smelly and doesn't have much opprotunity to clean his teeth.

Contacts & Relations
He has his family and on occasion talks to some of the criminal that live near his neighborhood. He doesn't interact with them much but he could get a stronger relationship with them as he grows.

Doesn't have a strong command of the common language. If he's caught in a professional environment and feels the need to talk verbatiously he will make up words that he thinks are actual words. He has very rarely been caught in these situations.

Is considered moderately poor. There are people that don't have shelter and can't eat. He's a step above that where he has a place to stay but sometimes doesn't have food to eat for the day.
