Blue Anvil
Blue Anvil is a blacksmith shop that offers small community and individual classes. They also offer small arms like daggers, sickles, and hammers. While Blue Anvil is a blacksmith they don't see many adventurers and keep the items on hand more simple and pratical for day to day use. Their classes are also focused on small trinkets and small blades for day-to-day use as well.
Purpose / Function
This building was crafted specifically for blacksmithing. There is iron and steel work throughout the building to keep it from burning. The facade of the building is made by wood and is very wide open.
Design
The building is almost circular and has multiple sides with only one side of the building being quite straight to keep small arms and equipment for display. The floor layout is wide with an array of anvils in front of the cruicibles and a small container of liquid next to each anvil.
Entries
The front entrance is wide enough to allow 5 medium sized to stand side by side. There is also a back entrance that is also open without a door that is usually used to wheel in fuel into the reinforced back area of the building.
Sensory & Appearance
While you're walking into the shop you feel the temperature rise. If someone is working you'll hear the sound of metal clanking against each other. The shop smells of burning wood and a slight ting of oil. The air is quite fresh due to the circulating air but just hotter than the outside.
Denizens
Anyone that wishes to join in the blacksmithing trade is welcomed here. The Blue Anvil holds classes for children and nearby residents like to sign their kids up to learn a new skill.
Contents & Furnishings
There isn't much furniture besides the stools next to each anvil and the front desk on the left side of the entrance. They do have small arms for sell
Weapons
Dagger: 1d4 2GP
Sickle: 1d4 1GP
Light Hammer: 1d4 2GP
Valuables
The shop keeps a locked chest behind their counter that holds valuable items, gems for crafting, and gold from purchases and classes. This chest is not as oftenly deposited at the banks. It contains anywhere from 50PP - 85PP
Hazards & Traps
The crucibles are the only things that are of real hazards to anybody. They can burn you and leave scars and possibly kill if someone is thrown inside of it. You will need to roll a high roll in order to throw someon inside the crucible. They crucible is not big enough to hold an entire body. It can hold the top half of a person, so if you want to kill someone with the crucible you will have to make a few strength checks to keep them in that position.
Alterations
The original building in this spot was created by the building boom in Rowsite. However, the land was leased by the current tenent. The building was demolished and the new building was constructed in it's place. Everything was replaced from the small door opening to the backroom being tranformed to an area to hold fuel and reinforced with metal. The shop has multiple crucibles for community work.
Architecture
This building is different from the rest of the surrounding buildings who use a Tudor style of architecture. The building looks more like a small hut. With a round ceiling with a collapsable hole at the top. The front is wide open and is mostly wood with a few metal accents including the name of the shop crafted in a dark black steele with the name Blue Anvil on it with a small symbol of an Anvil on top.
Defenses
While the shop doesn't have any built defenses. Some of the workers can handle weapons well and the shop does have a few small arms for sell that could be used self defense.
Tourism
Blue Anvil is located away from the heavily touristed area of Rowsite. Most of the people that frequent this place are people that want to learn the art of being a blacksmith. On occasion, there are a few people that wonder to this side of town and usually have a memorable experience in a class.
