Baronet City
The largest trading port on the Middle Sea, the Principality of Baronet-on-Merit’s Bay is the center of the mercantile world. From this ancient harbor, the Sieran Merchant fleet travels to all parts in Carrisor, from Meere in Fladdock to Kingsgate and Beloya, LeBâton, Dorian, Sodor, and Bok. The Riĉa Bank, under matriarch Eloise Purstring, holds notes on every noble in the ten Kingdoms.
The merchant families of Baronet are more powerful than the nobility, and the two camps manage an uneasy truce. The roots of these families go back for thousands of years, even before the invasion from the West, back to when ancient Dragons filled the sky. The nobility are named Baronet, a name as old as the city. The merchant families are the Jennars, Purstrings, Simoleons, and Riĉas, each with their own agendas and alliances. Their not-so-secret society is called the “Peers of the Wind.”
Unfortunately, new plots with foreign states will cause serious rifts among these families, and their friendly competition will get bloody. The wars that brew in Higale threaten to shatter the stability of this layered metropolis, at a time when they will need to be at their strongest. It may be the Baronet family, whose allegiances never reach beyond the city walls, who will ultimately save the city from itself.
