    The War of the Rivers
    Military action

    The War of the Rivers was fought between the tribes living around the Samara River and the tribes living around the Quioté River. In 1020, half of the Quioté River tribes, the southern tribes, signed a peace treaty with the Samara River Tribes. The war lasted almost fourteen years but finally ended when the inland Quioté River tribes were conquered by the Samara River tribes.

    The Coronation of King Faolán
    Life, Career

    After the death of Chief Bhaltair, his son Faolán succeeded him as leader of the Isendreen tribe and the old alliance. He was crowned king by the old chiefs of the Samara River Tribes, in accordance with his father's wishes.

    The Massacure of the Chiefs
    Life, Crime

    At his wedding, King Faolán murdered all of the chiefs from the tribes his father had been allied with and the unconquered Quioté tribes. Once they and their heirs were dead, Faolán declared himself lord over them all.

    The White Death Plauge
    Plague / Epidemic

    Little is known about the White Death. Doctors have concluded that it likely came from contaminated water that entered the Samara River in Arenoo and traveled to the coast, killing thousands in its wake. No one is sure how the water was cleaned, but no cases of the White Death have been reported since 250 AnCog.

    The People's Revolt
    Revolution

    The People's Revolution started after the people of the lower Quioté river tribes sucessfully seceded from the country. It involved four of the six lower Samara River tribes that were conquered by their ally the Isendreen tribe. Unfortunatly this revolution failed to help, and in many ways hurt, its participants, it did bring many people back to their culture heritage, and began a kind of silent revolution.

    The Protest for Representation

    The Protest for Representation was a three-day protest that took place outside the King's Parliament. While many of the protester's original demands were not met, they did gain true representation in parliament, which is where the protest got its name.
