Another Door Opens

As the days in the cell went by, Bhenhi noticed that Arthus's injuries were slowly weakening him. Over time, Arthus was willing to share some details about what happened when he left their cell. He would be taken to be experimented on to understand how he was able to survive with little to no sustenance. He continued to heal his wounds partially, but the last time appeared more effort than the previous. Bhenhi still found his eating habits odd, picking at the few vegetables and eating part of Bhenhi's dust for his primary source of energy.   Still, in their moments of peace when guards dozed or were distracted they talked of escape. The injuries he was sustaining would only make their success more difficult, so they needed to act at first opportunity. The talk of a new prisoner and a tiny creature on the back of one of the hairy pets the people of this land appear to cling to appeared to give Arthus a gleam in his eye: hope? concern? both?
