An Unsavory Spill

Immediately downing a mutagen that increased their speed at the risk of being more fragile, Gaelen began berating Bhenhi with alchemical bombs and poisoned daggers alike. Their natural fortitude kept Bhenhi from the poison, but a few well placed explosions had them reeling to start. They were able to pull a few solid counterattacks of their own: a spinning stone that ripped into Gaelen as he fought to stay away from it, and a couple massive shots of metal pinyons and rock thrown from their home plane.   Soon Gaelen's early sure victory came into question. In desperation to keep his life intact for a while longer, he tossed an alchemical reagent at the soldiers who entered with him and bolted for the hallway. Ungodly screams echoed the chamber as did the sounds of bones cracking and flesh rending. Before anyone could catch Gaelen, the soldiers emerged from the smoky mist transformed into Gorgians. These massive creatures quickly drew the attention of the party and battle ensued with Gaelen disappearing into the distance.
