† Quashing Quislings

General Summary

As the party found lodging at the Stony Spectre, they put together a plan to root out any remaining enemy forces throughout the trading post.   That evening, Stela and Caldwell decided to "meander" through the city keeping an eye for any suspicious behavior: Caldwell from the rooftops with Stela moving along the paths and alleyways.   Caldwell caught sight of a shawled individual who continued to dart from shadow to alley, avoiding notice. They occasionally stopped along their route for a few moments before moving on. Eventually, they wound their way to a small weaver's shop called the Spilt Skein. They noticed the light go out but were unable to track where they had gone.   Stela, meanwhile, found themselves near a shuttered forge when they overheard two voices. They moved closer, finding two hooded figures talking. Avoiding getting too close, Stela was only able to make out parts of the conversation, but they heard mention of Galen the advisor and the fight with the general raising suspicions. Stela followed one of the cloaked individuals back to a manor and caught sight of a captain's insignia during a brief flash of moonlight.   After regrouping, the two doubled back to check on the weaver's shop. It had been a couple hours, and upon arrival there was only a single humanoid shape and a half dozen or so smaller quadrupeds.   Meanwhile, Besella and Bhenhi arranged to provide entertainment at the Stony Spectre that night in hopes of gathering intel from rumor and keep an eye out for anything suspicious there. Besella focused her time talking with a caravan guard who was visibly frustrated by the lockdown in the city as the caravan not moving affects his pay. Besella offered to hire him to help guard her as she went through town playing her lute.   Bhenhi on the other hand spent most of her time talking with Garet, a pawnbroker, who claimed to make his money from selling junk others didn't want anymore as well as items fished from the sewers and canal near his shop. Bhenhi continued their stony acrobatics to his delight where the inebriated patron give them two gold: far more than a pawnbroker would make in a few months.   Gourm would take care of selling items and collecting remaining supplies needed for the party to be prepared for the upcoming siege. This lead him to the Iron Kettle where he got the cache of Vitraxine items identified and collected a few talismans for Besella and bolts for Caldwell.
