† Dragon Descent

As the entire inn erupted in lycanthropy, everyone quickly drew arms and fought through the wave of monsters. To the sounds of Besella's music, Caldwell slid and tumbled his way though slashing monsters down with precision. Still, the masses were enough to land a few blows leaving him bloodies. Gourm again found himself weathering hits unscathed, until the weretiger stripped him of his shield and gashed him across his armor. Oliver found that the creatures were weak to silver allowing Besella to hit them with needles created from silver coins. Fizzik, the newest addition, struck with quick forceful jabs knocking a few out himself. The fight ended a bloody mess, both from the assailants and the assailed but the party came out the victors.

After the fight, Oliver informed the party that looting the rooms was allowed as far as he knew as the Library of Certa allowed for delvers to do so as a sign of resourcefulness and even expected it in certain situations. Besella and Caldwell raided the inn's coffers finding a sizeable amount of coin while the party searched the bodies of the deceased. There found a few coin and a handful of battleworn weapons as well as a silvered vitraxine ring with a finely carved amethyst and a set of robes that Oliver identified as a set of energy robes that protected the wearer from the cold. All of this was being done as Fizzik , scalpel out, went to work on the wounded and Gourm contemplated the fight over a warm soup.

Seeing the door had opened once more, the party followed down into the next level of the dungeon where the doors opened to find a massive genealogy lab used to study the lineage of dragons and their cousins. In the middle of the laboratory was a letter from The Curator that informed them they must find clues to escape the space they are in. Oliver and Besella focused on the initial room looking through the placards for clues and eventually realizing the rug had occultic symbols that awoke the rug that said it was the beast to be fed. Caldwell found a locked desk and looked for a key around the area where they found a vial balancing atop an unlit burner. Gourm inspected the fossils themselves first focusing on the massive hanging one at the back of the room before showing extra interest in the dracolisk fossil in the first room. Fizzik looked around at a few items of interest before spending time speaking with the rug to find insight.
