Persistent

A shapeshifter the Wardens met in Beater's Point initially wearing the face of a Drow woman. Myra met Persistent in the jail of Pryd's Lookout where they informed that she "looked like shit." That made Myra laugh, painfully due to her injuries, and ask how they had landed up in the jail. Persistent informs her that they had been captured after taking the place of a sailor on a boat and getting caught as a stowaway. Myra asks if that's an offense that normally lands you in the brig and Persistent says that might have more to do with throwing a punch when they tried to take her. Myra mentions that if she needs a way out of Beater's point to come by Billies' Tavern the next day as she knows someone who is hiring provided she can get out of the cell.   Persistent later shows up at Billies' an earns a sport in the crew of the Divine Reach in Hagren's Hirelings after divulging that they are a shapeshifter during the interview process. In getting to know the crew later the Wardens learn that Persistent is a quick study picking up a number of talents and mannerisms very quickly. Persistent doesn't like transitioning forms by request and says that their true form is personal asking the Wardens not to ask them for it. Persistent does not mention where they are from to the larger group of the Wardens and only told Myra that they were from "Further west" than beaters point when they initially met. Myra didn't mention this to the larger group worried that Adama might assume that further west meant Slekul and immediately attack Persistent who seemed to want to distance themselves from where they came from. (Morgan acknowledges that this could come back to bite us but you know you play on Myra's weak points what are you gonna do)   In Tranquil Tides - Hazelden Persistent says they briefly studied under a chef though asks that Hagren never ask them to make eggs.
