Sampyl and Adom
The myth of Sampyl is told two different ways. According to artificers, Sampyl was a blacksmith who created Adom, a man made of metal. Adom went on to be a hero, and was obedient to Sampyl to the end. Sampyl met his end at the hands of a mob, as he was persecuted for his creation Adom, who was seen as heretical and unnatural. Necromancers tell instead that Sampyl was a corpse artisan, who created the very first zombie, and called him Adom, who was used as a labourer and was able to do the work of twenty men. Adom was slain out of jealousy and Sampyl driven to madness in exile. While exiled, Sampyl became immortal by applying the experiments with which he created Adom to his own body. Regardless, their myth is used as a story to tell of how geniuses are unfairly persecuted for their creations by an ignorant people.
