Orc
One of the other primary races in Shouyen. Orcs are tribal and each tribe has its own leadership hierarchy. Each orc clan defines themselves by the strength of their tribe and value their families over everything else.
Many Orcs fight out of necessity but their hatred for Elves is fueled by the reciprocal nature of the attacks each side has mounted against the other. At this point the war between the races is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Common Myths and Legends
As orc tribes where laid to waste during The First Orc War the orcs turned to a helping hand they call the Warlord a humanoid creature that came to them and offered them immense power as long as they made offering to her before and after each battle. These tribes perform this ritual by holding fights to the death before and after each battle. Many times they hold these fights with prisoners or goblins they have enslaved.
