Elf

Many types of Elves exist: Moon, Sun, Wood, Silk Weaver this more relate to features of the elf and typically their backgrounds and life experiences differ. However as time passed they became more homogenized and the differences in their cultures melded.

Moon Elves - typically lighter skin, known for their glowing mystical like eyes. Many of their ancestors come from powerful families and have deep ties to power within political structure. Many elves would be considered to be from a Highborn society.

Sun Elves - typically have more of a hazelnut colored complexion, they also have more pronounced elongated ears. Sun elves have a culture of valuing family and hard work. Their ancestors during the age of the first king where typically soldiers, farm hands, builders and labor works.

Wood Elves - Typically outcasts these are the elves that live off the land and their ancestors didnt want to support a king. They commonly have dark tanned skin with bright blond hair or completely white eyes.

Silk Weavers - An exiled group of elves that began to worship a being they call the All Mother, she helped them survive underground and taught them how to bread spiders to create silk farms as their primary form of commerce.

Common Myths and Legends

A common misconception of Elves is that they think they are better than everyone. Most elves admire the other races for their accomplishments and find humans to be the most awe inspiring despite their short life spans.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Orcs are hated by many elves for the harm they have inflected upon their people. You would be hard pressed to have an Elf say something nice about an Orc.
