Yu Dao NPCs

Mayor, bandits, lead bandit, bullies, a few locals. Also the Avatar's friend will need stats and also Lienwha and my EK major. And Youdron   Yu Dao is mainly farm country at this point. It's in a reasonable spot but far enough north that not a lot of people head that way for trade specifically. The EK could develop it a bit better but chooses not to. The people there are intensely proud of their home, and a lot of them are fairly independent people, valuing self-sufficiency and honor. They are people of Earth, and can be pretty stubborn and set in their ways.  

Mayor Shao

  Major NPC. First name Hatang. Short and stocky, with a fat black topknot poking out of a very large straw hat. His sister's child is Mistress Ta. One of the shrine guardians. Thinks they should just keep on keepin' on where the secret is concerned.   5 fatigue. Drive: to keep the people of Yu Dao orderly. Principle: Order 0 +1 +2. Conditions: Afraid, Frantic, Insecure.  

Biri Gya

  Major NPC. Bandit leader. Unassuming woman with a scar winding around her left arm. Earthbender. Drive: to get rich. 5 fatigue. Conditions: Angry, Desperate, Foolish. Principle: Survival 0 +1 +2.   Eat Dirt: evade and observe. Cause a foe to lose their footing. Your target is Impaired and unable to choose defend and maneuver in the next exchange.  

The Chan Gang

  They're all Chans. All of them. All cousins. Those who aren't are. They all have the same small nose but otherwise it's hard to tell if they're actually related. Small group(s) of minor NPCs. Drive: to follow orders. 5 fatigue. Conditions: Angry, Afraid, Foolish. Principle: Greed 0 +1 +2.   Swarm: advance and attack. The group throws itself upon a foe wiht no heed to its own safety. Mark 1-fatigue to inflict 2-fatigue on a single target. This technique may be chosen multiple times. Each time it is chosen after the first, it inflicts an additional 1-fatigue.   Surround: advance and attack. The group closes around a single foe. Every additional attack made on that foe during this exchange inflicts an additional 1-fatigue. Every attack made by a surrounded foe forces them to suffer 1-fatigue.  

Bole

  Major NPC. A group of local bully teens. No benders but they're competent enough fighters. The leader has a big head. Drive: to prove their superiority. Principle: Superiority 0 +1 +2. 5 fatigue. Conditions: Angry, Foolish, Insecure.   Earth Gauntlet: advance and attack. Wrap your arm or fist in rock and strike! Mark 1-fatigue; inflict one condition or 2-fatigue. You can also knock your foe out of reach and disengage; they must mark an additional fatigue to resist.  

His Fools

  Minor group NPC. Bole's friends are Gyo Li (the only girl), Roho, and Cheng. These lot are not the brightest. Drive: to stay on Bole's good side. Principle: Harmony 0 +1 +2. 5 fatigue. Conditions: Angry, Foolish, Confused.   Engulf: defend and maneuver. The whole group shifts forward en masse, engulfing their target and engaging them. An engulfed target becomes Impaired and cannot escape or disengage this exchange. The group automatically uses Strike against each Impaired foe within reach.  

Mistress Ta Moro

  Minor NPC upgraded to Major. Owns a shop in town, and has a selection of "off-rack" items. Has gray eyes (usually more typical of airbenders), and wears an unusually fancy robe (but only the one). Drive: to be respected, to uphold her family legacy of defending the truth. 5 fatigue. Condition: Insecure, Fearful, Angry. Principle: Respect 0 +1 +2.   Distantly descended from an AN avatar people are content to forget, she is younger than she likes to appear. That's her deepest secret. More loosely, she's safeguarding a shrine and a map to other shrines that will unlock the central shrine. The mayor is her uncle but they're not close. In favor of unlocking it so they can figure out what to do about this shrine.  

Gilo

  Minor NPC. The only real town guard. Middle aged man with no family. Drive: to defend Yu Dao. 3 fatigue. Condition: Afraid. Principle: Determination 0 +1  

La Gyimi

  Minor NPC. On her way to weathered skin, frizzled brown hair, green eyes. A mother and housewife looking to keep her family where they need to be. Has at least three toddlers around, and a handful of older kids as well. Drive: to feed her family. Principle: Stability 0 +1. 4 fatigue. Condition: Angry.  

Niranu

  Major NPC. Waterbender from the South. Black hair, short in the back with long strands of beads by her face, ending in tassels. Rather tall for a woman. 5 fatigue. Drive: to make enough money to get back to the South Pole. Principle: Patience 0 +1 +2. Conditions: Angry, Afraid, Desperate.   Water Whip: defend and maneuver. Lash out with a tendril of water. Mark 1-fatigue to inflict a condition or 2-fatigue, your choice.  

Assorted Undeveloped Villagers

  All have, as needed: 3 fatigue, Condition: Afraid. Principle 0 +1 (identify as needed).   Women: Kyoke, Lang, Bo Sheyen, Tiph   Men: Gemo, Lohang, Gushan, Balo
