After L.E.G.'s excursion into the frozen north lead to the death of one of Zoltrax's Arcane Council members, the Zoltrax Magedom retaliated a year later with a skirmish on the Dukedum of Izalith. After Solis refused to pay reparations to Zoltrax, war was declared.
