Milieurth Glossary

Black Steel: Steel alloy with especially high iron content that is as deadly to Fae and Faeborn as pure iron.

Demon: Generic term for creatures native to Draconis.

Demonlings: Small, goblin-like demons.

Draconis: Hellish demon dimension ruled by the Dragon of All-Consuming Fire.

Dragonborn: A person of demonic ancestry.

Draks: Derrogatory name for those who side with the Dragon.

Druid: Wizard who harnesses the forces of the Faewilde for their magic.

Fae or Fairy: Generic terms of creatures native to the Faewilde.

Faeborn: A person of Fae ancestry.

Faestones: Enormous monoliths that can be arranged in certain patterns to "anchor" the Faewilde to Milieurth in locales where the two dimensions overlap.

Faewilde: The Fairy realm.

Ffolk, The: Name by which those who side with the Fae identify themselves.

Firbolg: The result of crossbreeding between fairies and demons (or, less frequently, between Faeborn and Demonborn). They tend to be monstrous ogre-like creatures.

Lann: Title granted to Knights of Oberon. The same title is used for knights of all genders.

Orichalcum: A silver alloy that contains no iron but is as strong as steel. Used by Fae and Faeborn and highly valued by all Ffolk for its usefulness in fighting demons and their human decendants.

Sawraiddyn: Lizard-like humanoids who inhabit the Draxtrone Bog. According to legend they are former subjects of the Dragon Empire who were transformed by the magic that created the bog.

Sorcerer/Sorceress: Wizard who calls upon the forces of Draconis for their magic.

Witch/Warlock: Wizard who uses a mixture of Fairy and Dragon magic.

Wizard: Generic term for a spellcaster.

Yffair: Title used for maidens meaning "The Fair." (The Milieurth version of "La Beale")
