Demonlords of Cambrium

The demonlords of Cambrium are different from the ones that exist in the D&D planescape. There are seven demonlords in total, each one attributed to one of the seven deadly sins - lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, envy and pride - although the Catholic concept of the seven deadly sins do not exist in Cambrium it is used as a diegesis in order to understand what sort of role they portray. Despite there being multiple female demonlords they are still referred to as 'demonlords' and not 'demonladies' as the title in context of demonology is unisex - they may also share names with beings from the real world but share no other similarities. Similarly, while the name demon and devil can technically be used interchangeably as they are related in Cambrium, like cousins for example, it is still offensive to both demons and devils to be referred to as the other. In Cambrium devils are infernal beings that typically take on more human-like aspects, while demons take on more beastly or monstrous aspects. In terms of power demons are stronger than devils, but that doesn't mean there aren't devils that can overpower demons. The study of the infernal realm is known as demonology, while the worship of demons/devils is called diabolism.

Taranis

Demonlord of pride, and king of demons. Out of all known demons he is the most powerful, thus rules over the infernal realm. Any depiction of him in his 'true form' has since been lost to time as he prefers a more humanoid shape with draconic aspects in recent centuries. It is believed that Taranis is actually a dragon that became a demonlord, which helps to explain his strength over other infernal beings. Despite being the demonlord of pride he is known for his cool indifference to the lives of others, with a sharp intelligence and overwhelming combat prowess, making him a difficult foe to face in any context. It is rumoured that he holds a fascination for human nobility and the aesthetic surrounding it, and so many depictions of him are in fine dress clothes while his castle is often depicted with Molfercitian influence.

Ahriman

Demonlord of greed. A male rakshasa that appears like a black leopard, Ahriman is typically the demonlord that diabolist mortals contact when they want to make contracts for power or wealth. Known to be extremely intelligent, wily and cunning, one should never trust anything Ahriman says as there's always a double meaning to his words - which also goes for his contracts. More often than not people who sign contracts with Ahriman end up in a worse place than they began, and end up indebted to the demonlord for the rest of their life. He covets wealth in all forms, powerful magic items and especially enjoys gambling with high stakes. It is believed that he has a vault somewhere in the infernal realm that contains an endless amount of money and magic items from all over the universe, and offering him something he doesn't yet have is the only sure fire way to receive a fair deal from him.

Lamashtu

Demonlord of lust. Appears like a demonic lioness with wings, Lamashtu is believed to be the second most powerful demonlord underneath Taranis, however often finds herself too involved with mortal lives to really concern herself with demon politics. While lust is typically associated with desire of a sexual nature - which it does include - it also includes any hedonistic pleasure, or the corruption of one's mind to focus only on the concept of pleasure, sexual or otherwise. Lamashtu enjoys corrupting mortals, especially diabolists, and turning them into mindless pawns to be played with, broken and then discarded. She is always seeking out new pleasures and experiences, though there is very little she hasn't experienced or seen. She is considered one of, if not the most, dangerous demonlord to mortals because of how easy it is for them to fall to lust.

Yoma

Demonlord of envy. Appears as a human woman sporting demonic horns and porcelain white complexion, she is often depicted dressed in ornate oriental clothing and her face covered by a hand fan. It is believed that she covers her face with this fan to either stop mortals from growing envious of her beauty, or to stop her from seeing people that may be more beautiful than her and becoming envious herself. She also represents the envy felt over other areas of life, especially when it comes to power and the perception of power in others, which is why she always carries a katana with her in order to strike down foes that may appear to be more powerful than her.

Abbadon

Demonlord of gluttony. Appears as a massive demonic lion with huge rib spikes protruding from his torso, which can transform into an immense mouth, he represents the overconsumption of vices to excess. While gluttony is typically believed to only be related to food, it actually represents the obsession and hunger of any vice or bad habit, such as drinking or smoking. However, Abbadon is known for being gluttonous for mortal flesh, and is always on the hunt. Considered one of the most frightening demonlord to encounter because he's driven by instinct rather than intelligence, and usually isn't interested in bargaining with others. The flame at the tip of his tail, a pinkish-red and white colour, is known as hell fire and is known to be more powerful than natural flame, but not as powerful as dragon fire.

Raziel

Demonlord of wrath. Appears as a humanoid figure dressed in full plate mail and helmet, with his left arm exposed and mutated into the shape of a bladed weapon. While Raziel is often referred to as male there is no evidence suggesting he is either male or female, and could be considered non-binary simply through lack of information. Raziel does not speak, communicating only in a series of grunts and growls. He represents giving in to anger as well as overwhelming rage and battle lust. He is believed to constantly travel the infernal realms looking for worthy opponents to fight in an effort to vent his own rage that constantly bubbles within him. People who become lost to battle frenzy is often described as being taken over by Raziel.

Dagon

Demonlord of sloth. Thought to be the combination of an efreet and djinn that somehow gained demonic power, Dagon appears as a tall, handsome humanoid figure with sky blue skin and pinkish-red flames (known as hell fire) for hair. His most stand out feature is the extra set of arms he has made out of solid gold. Usually depicted in very little clothing, most often just an ornate loincloth, he represents the aspect of sloth - while this is often thought of as laziness, it also includes continuous inactivity, indecision or an aversion to moving forward on life goals and other things. Much like Lamashtu he has a greater influence over mortal kind due to how easy it is for mortals to become corrupted by sloth.
