Personal history
Being of a better family Ariel Chaucer, were to be married to another upper class member. However, she was not going to be married of to some one she barely knew, and especially not a man. However, her parents were reluctant and attempted to force her. The day before her would be wedding, she had a big fight with her parents that ended with her cutting of the finger with her engagement ring, threw it at her parents, and told them that now they could never force a finger on her hand! That night she ran away, to spend a couple of years travelling the country. Seeing the difference in schools across the country made her come home to her parents. There she told them, that she would never be what they wanted her to be, but she would still like to make them proud. So, she had them use their connections to help her gain influence to get her some good positions, that in the end made her go all the way to the top.

Ariel comes from a prominent family within the Republic, and has got some great connections. Due to her connections and family rank she was able to get a teaching position in one of the best schools in Mostall (and as such one of the best schools in the Republic). Her ambitions lead her to apply for administrative positions within the school, then within the Department of Educational Doctrines in the Office of Miscellaneous Affairs, Edicts and Resolutions/The Small Kingdom, and then at an age of 50 she was elected to be the Planner of Educational Doctrines, and with that became one of the most powerful people in Ponhearia.
