Ethereal Plane
Tam felt a hand on him, felt his body shimmer into mist. The screams and shouts sounded far off. The walls around him appeared to be only gray shadows. His friends stood beside him. "The ethereal plane," Rolen said. "The creatures breath cannot affect us here."The Ethereal Plane is a misty, fog-bound dimension. Travellers have described the plane as a collection of swirling mists and colourful fogs. The Material Plane is visible from the Ethereal Plane, but it appears muted and indistinct, its colours blurring into each other and its edges turning fuzzy. While it is possible to see the Material Plane from the Ethereal, the latter is often invisible to those on the Material. The Ethereal Plane is mostly devoid of structures and impediments. However the plane does have some of its own inhabitants. Some of these are other ethereal travellers, but the ghosts found here pose a particular peril to those who would walk the fog.
