Sovereign Darius Holt, “The Restorer King”
Sovereign Darius Aaron Holt (a.k.a. The Restorer King)
A career soldier and folk hero of the frontier provinces, Darius Holt rose to power as the face of rebellion against Isolde Merrow’s secretive regime. Promising to restore “honor and light to the Empire,” he led a swift and bloody campaign that toppled the Shadow Queen’s rule. Hailed as a savior, Holt united the provinces and initiated reforms aimed at curbing corruption, restoring faith in leadership, and rebuilding the economy.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Holt’s vision of restoration was built on nostalgia for the glory days of Pendræd Armuun, and his militarized populism soon curdled into authoritarian nationalism. Though he inspired loyalty and renewed Bechtlarite pride, he also set the ideological groundwork for the Imperial Doctrine that would define Sigmar Daimus’s later reign. He restored unity and purpose to the Empire after decades of decay; created the political culture that birthed the Daimus line.
