Tanglefoot
Deep within the jungle, the ground is blanketed with sentient vines which tug and pull at all those attempting to explore. Travellers who are agile and lightfooted enough may be able to dance their way through - or better yet, step upon the swathes of vines so that they might lift them higher. Some have even succeeded in living in the trees for a time, using the vines as their (albeit risky) walkways.
