Return to Leviva III: Weasels, Naps, and Curried Eels! Report

With Rikke and his cronies dead, the group decided to act fast. Levi and Straadmere stripped the corpses, as Morthran and Mireme built a pyre. Brok-Bjorn and Esme dealt with Rikke himself, with Brok taking his battered plate armour for possible future use. As they left the bodies burning, Esme pocketed the six golden death masks, and the group decided they should head onwards, as there were still a few hours left in the day. But exhaustion got the better of them, with a few of them having been rendered unconscious during the fight, and they didn't get far.   Setting up camp for the night, Morthran offered to take first watch, but was unfortunately rendered passed out drunk thanks to his magically refilling tankard. In the late hours of the night, Straadmere awoke to the sound of movement outside his tent and, heading outside, discovered that the camp had been invaded by a half dozen hungry giant weasels! A warning shot from his musket had the opposite effect from what he had hoped, and four of the creatures attacked him, tearing in hard with tooth and claw, while the other two tore through the side of Morthran's tent and began to attack the sleeping form of Brok-Bjorn. Rudely awakened, the Orc Blood Hunter rose from his sleep and lashed out unarmed, landing plenty of powerful blows. Levi, Esme, and Mireme rose soon after, and hit the weasels with long ranged magic, killing them all before they could flee. Morthran managed to sleep through almost the entire thing, and was only awoken when Straadmere punched him so hard that he fell into the campfire.   Mireme took charge, telling everyone to go to bed, and soon the next day came clear, even if tempers were still a little frayed. The group opted not to stop in at the Twisted Bell Inn as they passed it by, and instead made good time back to Leviva. Returning in the early evening, they headed straight for the Delver's Drift tavern, where Theon the barman greeted them back after their few weeks away. Someone had left a gift for Straadmere, a breastplate taken from the armoury in the temple of Ever-Wyrm. Intrigued, Straadmere looked around and also found a crude representation of the Ever-Wyrm carved into one of the tavern tabletops. Pondering this information, he ordered curried eels, like everyone else, and the group retired for a well earned night's rest...
