Journey to the Mountain's Throat Report

Recovered from their fight against the owlbears, the Party made ready to continue onward towards the Mountain's Throat, and the Goblin Camp there. But first, Esme pulled Levi aside to talk to her about the events of the previous night, and Brok-Bjorn questioned Gaya about a mysterious figure he seemed to have seen. She told him that it may the Silver-Tiger, the old goddess of Fate and The Unknown.   Continuing on, with Gaya leading the way, the group moved at a slower pace, hampered as they were by Brok-Bjorn's exhaustion. Finding the main road, they headed east, and soon ran in to a mysterious old elf who went by the name of Grimauth. He sold mushroom brews of some description, in five different varieties. He was tight-lipped about their effects, apart from that the Brown one could help relieve exhaustion. Brok-Bjorn folded and bought one of the brown ones for 5 silvers. Levi bought one of each, and an extra red one for Straadmere.   Leaving the old elf behind, the Party continued onward. Brok-Bjorn drunk the entirety of the bottle of brown liquid and soon after experienced the most gut-wrenching, stomach turning hour of bowel movements that anyone had ever encountered. But afterwards he felt cleansed, and lost a point of exhaustion. Continuing on, the group camped for the night, but their peaceful rest was interrupted by the now familiar, to some of them, sight of The Deliveryman, who delivered a mysterious book to Esme.   The next day, the Party quickly reached the cart, and ascertained that Ash had taken about sixteen days of rations from it. Rummaging around it, Morthran managed to get himself a decent set of cook's utensils to use. With Mireme driving and Gaya navigating, the group continued on for the rest of the day rather uneventfully, leaving the green, rolling grasses of the Hollow Valley behind, and heading into the rough, craggy foothills of the Shattered Spine Mountains.   Finding a free spot to camp, the Party set up for the night, and Brok-Bjorn offered to keep watch alone all night, using his potion of Watchful Rest to do so. Not everyone had an uninterrupted night, however, as Esme recieved a visit, at Levi's request, from Levi's patron...
