It's believed that for thousand years the world slept, healing, and gestating new life, the process governed by the Intelligence.
After the Singer's work was performed, life began reemerge on the continent - the Firstfolk were the original denizens of the new world, with the Helltouched being the most recent people to arrive, appearing only around 16200.
The Ruin... A war? A plague? Perhaps something more mysterious? All we know is that it ended with The Five, godly beings who created our world from the ashes of the old, creating the new Peoples and blessing us with the Magick that permeates our lives.
It's also said that the One Chained in the Dark rose at this time, but was thwarted by the Five - chained in a demiplane of complete darkness. There it's influence over the world was lessened, though not completely destroyed.
After nearly 1000 years of sleep, the Singer birthed the great beasts of Myth - dragons and krakens. These original creatures were beings of pure magic given physical form.
Hundreds of years after the last of the Dragons fled or fell, the new Races were created - the Elves, the Giants, and the Goblins. In addition, the first Races were given the creatures of the land and sea, to maintain the balance of the world and provide sustanence for the new inhabitants.
The first races walked the earth alone for almost 2000 years. Around 7500 A, the other races were born.
The world we know now came into being through a number of history shaking events, fueled by war and magic.
The War of the Five Realms was a battle between the five major powers in the Middle, a section of Caerwyn now called the Middle Empire.
The Middle Empire was won during the War of the Five Realms by King Alstier of Alandove and the province of Iariquinigar.
The arrival of the City of Nowhere and with it the entire Tiefling race has left more questions than it has turned up answers.
