Overview

The Hollowed Tree is an immense, ancient elderwood with a trunk so wide it can fit three grown humans standing side by side. Its center is hollow, yet still living—its bark thick and warm to the touch, with faint glyphs that shift in moonlight.   Druids of the Veil consider it a gateway between the waking world and the realm of spirits. Some claim to hear voices inside; others leave offerings at its base in exchange for dreams, healing, or guidance.

Mystical Properties

  • Spirit Hollow: The tree’s interior echoes with whispers when entered during solstice nights. It is used for communing with ancestors or invoking deep visions.
  • Bark of Memory: Flakes of bark gathered respectfully are believed to store fragments of dreams or ancestral insight. Used in potion-brewing and memory rituals.
  • Seed of Echoes: Rare pods found within the tree’s upper branches grant prophetic dreams when steeped in moonwater.
  • Cultural Role

During the Cycle of Reflection, the Hollowed Tree becomes a focal point for offerings of song, bone-charms, and memory tokens. Initiates often sleep in its hollow to receive signs from the Veil. Only those with spiritual training or blessing may safely enter—the uninvited risk madness or silence.   The Luneborn Foxes are frequently seen resting at its roots, a sign of spiritual approval.
