Varcelius

The Bloodfather

Varcelius is known as the first vampyre, the progenitor of The Bloodbound, and the most prolific father of undeath the world has ever known. Not through love or lust, but through transmission. Where others left behind children, he left entire bloodline, born of hunger, dark pacts, and desperate choices. Across centuries, the mark of Varcelius still lingers in the veins of thousands who trace their unnatural lives back to him.

Legacy of Progeny

Varcelius did not father in the traditional sense. His children were forged in blood and death.

The Bloodbound: His first and most loyal converts, elevated through ritual consumption of his blood. These are considered his true progeny—nigh-immortal, terrifyingly powerful, and bound directly to his will.

The Diminished: Mortals turned through lesser feeding methods. They retain fragments of the curse but lack the full strength and discipline. Still, they multiply in number, creating a fragmented diaspora of vampyric descent.

It is whispered that every vampyre alive today descends from Varcelius—either by his hand, his blood, or the curse his body created.

Myth and Legend. I believe that of Vampyres in general. Or at least I used. The more I read, the more I learn, and see what's going on around me, the less sure I know what is fact and what is fiction. I truly wish I could be as sure of those things as I once was.
