Ji’msib is a versatile and highly valued leather derived from the Ki'zora , a large reptile inhabiting the tunnels and caverns of Va’nu’s Xom’ye. Its texture resembles a reptile’s leathery shell but is softer and flexible, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Across Va’nu, Ji’msib is used to packaging, ceremonial items, and the iconic Ri’Tachi robes.

Creation and Processing

Ji’msib is made exclusively from ayj’din, which are both farmed and harvested from the wild. The Va’nu’ians utilize all parts of the ayj’din: hide, bones, and even blood, which is used to make traditional inks.

The crafting of Ji’msib leather—whether for robes or any other item—is a highly secretive process. Only a select few Clans know the methods, and the knowledge is fiercely guarded. This secrecy ensures that Ji’msib products maintain their value and prestige.
