Fyelinst Traditional

The Traditional Fyelinst culture describes a culture followed in the vast majority of Fyelinst villages, with notable exceptions including the Flatlands Village of Esmirt which is primarily placed at ground level as opposed to around the canopy level of a forest. Due to their villages usually revolving around forests, The Fyelinst work very closely with nature, using foliage and trees to improve their living conditions without harming the plants.

Ideals

Construction

The Vast Majority of Fyelinst villages are built up high, allowing The Fyelinst to utilise their internal air sacs to navigate the village on many levels. This is also a valuable defense against predators and combatants as The Fyelinst posess an ability to move vertically which is rare in nature, being able to speedily rise or fall through controlling the air density within the air sacs. This movement system is only possible due to The Fyelinst being very light and without any air in their sacs, naturally buoyant in normal air.

Resources

The Village of Esmirt was created outside of the normal model of being high-up due to it possessing the species of Tree best suited to silk burrowers, a creature invaluable to The Fyelinst as it is used to produce Esmirt Silk, an incredibly strong and malleable type of silk, used by The Fyelinst to create their nets.

The Fyelinst also have primary control over the deep caves which holds the valuable Chrysagloom Ore, a material heavily sought after by the Dwarves whose production methods directly contrast the Fyelinsts' own methods, therefore The Fyelinst intentionally withhold access to this Ore so that the dwarves are not able to access it. At the same time it is the only ore The Fyelinst can utilise with their dislike of harming the flora around them. The production method for Chrysagloom does not require this so The Fyelinst do not have any issue with using it.
