Erranon Burrowers
Erranon Burrowers are a parasitic worm-like species that burrow through the dirt, feeding on the nutrients of the soil. A group can quickly render a large area of soil mostly useless. An outbreak of them is believed to have occurred in Vannor forest, which was originally a lush area full of plants, but the burrowers drained most of the minerals from the area, permanently damaging it before dying. They have a destructive lifecycle; they appear in an area, consume minerals, create eggs, spread eggs in the air and continue until there are insufficient minerals to sustain the process, at which point they shrivel up and die
