Basic idea is for any action that would be either an epic failure or epic success, you would roll 2d20 and take the one furthest away from 10. This creates more situation where it is a tragic failure or major success.   Only usable for epic sounding things and determined on the players description of the thing they are doing. The table can decide/vote if the check becomes an Empathies Roll.   We have tried this once and it seemed to be liked. Please share your thoughts!
