SoS: Ringnecks

General Summary

When we last left our heroes, they had just ambushed a detachment of yuan-ti wearing infernal torcs. Moris, the yuan-ti pureblood that originally sold our party during the first session, offered to exchange information for more meat. Her malison guards were flaying the bodies of goblins they’d captured so they could survive the journey north. Trading the horse meat from their fallen steed, Moris let go a bit of information of the yuan-ti in the Scorch. Most yuan-ti have been called north back into their ancestral homeland. Some believe the Scorch to be Dendar, the Nigth Serpant and Eater of Worlds. Moris knows the Scorch is demonic but instead is interested in the ruins of Arikhet.   The party moved north the next day and eventually found the ruins of Redale, a tiny community built around a well. Hope ran across two spotted dogs whom she attacked. Soon, the spotted dog den they had entered erupted with life. At least 20 dogs and two larger adults surrounded the party. Hope was able to retreat to the roof thanks to Rolen's giant eagle wild shape while Aesyn stood his ground. A torrent of teeth rained upon him but he stood resolute smiting most with his flame tongue. Hope’s sickening radiance and Rolen’s favorite trick of dropping creatures to their death proved just enough to dispatch the squatting scorched dogs. Within the ruins, they found adventuring gear and two bottles of mending mead. They also set up camp in a strangely untouched house with an aura of protection around it. Lola was able to identify that she had contracted sear sickness and was cured. Bearn’s fate remains undetermined…
