Uriven Talle's collection of likely orignally oral tales about elven adventures in mythical Caanae. None have ever discovered his purpose, as he did not indicate it inside the collection. Theories suggest it was to put these tales to record, but Uriven has long since departed the mortal plane and never provided an answer.
Historical Details
Legacy
This work has been used as an example of early elven literature for generations of elves and half-elves. It is debated how much of it is fiction and how much is accurate historical information, but as a piece of art it has become priceless. Copies have been put into any number of forms, though the oldest copy in Umenor is kept in the Emperor's Vault in Runathelas Palace in clay medium. As a seminal work, nearly all educated elven peoples have heard or read these stories.
Term
The time depicted in these stories is hotly debated by academic circles, as Uriven Talle did not date the stories or indicate chronological order in any fashion. This has lead to the popular belief that they were originally oral tales that he compiled later.
Ntild Wildmyt
Inside this document are stories of mythical elven heroes battling numerous monsters and other humanoids, the elves usually always outwitting, evading, or otherwise overcoming these odds. There are a couple tragedies contained within, but those stories always involve an outside force that causes the elven heroes to fall or fail in some fashion.
One in particular is the tragic romance between Kelhorn and Yestris, whose love was so strong that the gods plotted against them. They sent fiendish monsters and took Yestris from Kelhorn's side, who swore vengeance against them. Kelhorn took up arms and called upon companions and chased the fiends to their home plane. There Kelhorn and their companions faced trials and tribulations that tested each of their resolves, and one by one each fell to the terrors they beheld. Eventually only Kelhorn stood defiant, but even after slaying the last fiend that held Yestris captive, their task was not done. In its final breath, the fiend told Kelhorn that Yestris was cursed, and the curse would mean that if Yestris ever left the plane, they would perish in hellfire. Kelhorn was determined to find a way around the curse, and spent most of the rest of their life trying to find a way to free Yestris. When they finally believed they had solved the curse and went to find Yestris they found that they could not find them. Kelhorn died wandering a great labyrinth, never stopping his quest till his very life gave out.
