Lake Ulmarog

Geography

290 miles long and covering 2,569 square miles. At such a scale this lake is a source of food and water for many of the wandering bands and creatures  of the wild lands. It is longer than it is wide, but it is surrounded by boreal forest, which keep the majority of heavy winds at bay making the lake fairly calm, and tends to freeze in winter due to its calm nature and northerly location. Where the Valaga River enters, it brings with it sediment as it makes its way down in elevation from the upper lake, making this lake less clear, but still tranquil.

Natural Resources

The surrounding timber is excellent for construction, the fish plentiful, and the water fresh. These are the bounties that this lake provides to those who live near it.

History

Some of the tribes say that there is a mighty creature that lives in the lake, to whom they often leave live offerings of creatures in mated pairs. The monster doesn't seem to eat them, and instead the offerings seem to transform during the night into creatures totally different from those that were offered the evening before, remaining in mated pairs in the new forms they were given.
