The Aetheri Council

The Aetheri Council are nine highly gifted and extremely powerful High Aetheri who govern and oversee all known Aetheri across the lands of C'Naelia. Their seat is the Aetheri Citadel where all Aetheri begin their magical journey after first manifesting into their power.

Initially known as the Order of the High Aetheri, The Aetheri Council's origins date back many centuries and were established after fighting amongst those with magical abilities caused disastrous consequences. Cities were destroyed by magical battles fought over pity matters. A group of talented and powerful magic users came together and decided all magical users band together in harmony to ensure peace within the lands. Rules and regulations were required to keep the peace within the lands and those who broke the laws set were punished accordingly. As the years went by more and more people were blessed with magic. The Aetheri Council established the Aetheri Citadel in order to provide those that were blessed with magical abilities a home and place to control and learn about their power. With magic within the lands vastly growing as the years went on so did their responsibilities.
They are responsible for -

Ensuring and enforcing the correct use of magic throughout C'Naelia.
The guidance and education of all Aetheri.
Seeking out new Aetheri.
Regulating the use of magical items throughout the lands.
Seeking intelligence and keeping under surveillance those that have forsaken their ways.
Nurturing alliances old and new with other organisations of the lands.
Being aware of magical abnormalities in the lands of C'Naelia and investigating where appropriate.
