Hobgoblin

Hobgoblin is a broad term to describe the various denizens of the Hedge. Many are quite mad or animalistic, but some manage to be more relatable. In general, one should remain on guard when dealing with hobgoblins. While there are some who have a more humane mentality, many are as alien as the Gentry. Though hobgoblins defy classification, some common categories are recognized by changelings:

• Hob: Slang term for sapient, humanoid hobgoblins, such as those who run the Goblin Market.
• Hedgebeast: Hobgoblin who resemble mundane animals, but have intelligence and the ability to speak.
• Hedge Denizen: Changelings or mortals who have accrued Goblin Debt to the point that they can no longer leave the Hedge. Often used when it's presumed to be a temporary condition.
• Goblin Monarch: A changeling or mortal who has embraced the change into hobgoblin, and in the process became nobility.
