  • Swim speed: Undine have a swim speed of 30 feet, can move in water without making Swim checks, and always treat Swim as a class skill.
  • Aquatic Preference: Undine even one generation removed from land bound ancestors form a biological preference for the water. As a result Undine with this trait suffer a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, ability checks, skill checks, and saving throws out of a body of water large enough to submerge themselves in.
  • Amphibious: Undine are equally suited to the land as they are to the sea. As such they can breathe both air and water without problems.

Cold Resist 5: Undine with this trait have Colde resist 5   Darkvision: Undine with this trait can see up to 60 feet in the dark   Deep Sight: Some Undine have eyes particularly suited to pick out details with the increaingly dim light of deep water. Undine with his trait have Darkvision 60ft and a +4 bonus to perception checks while at least 100ft under water. The darkvision from this trait stack with the darkvision trait to a total of 120ft while 100ft under water   Hydraulic Push: Undines can use hydraulic push 1/day (caster level equals the undine’s level).   Ocean's Blessing: Undine with this trait are magically attuned to the waves as much as their djin forebears. So long as they have a charisma score of 13 or higher, Undine with this trait can use mudball (2/day) and wave shield (2/day) as spell like abilities.  
Scaly: Undine with this trait have inherited some of the thick scales of the merfolk. They recieve a +1 natural armor bonus   Sea Lungs: Undine with this trait have a hint of the illustrious and supernatural voice of the merfolk. They receive a +2 racial bonus to performance checks that involve speaking or singing. In addition, they add 1 to the DC of spells which have auditory components.   Triton Magic: Some undines descend from tritons, rather than genies. Undines with this racial trait can use summon nature’s ally II as a spell-like ability 1/day, but only to summon small water elementals. The caster level equals the Undine’s level.   Water Affinity: Undine are much more in tune with the elements of water than other races. An Undine with this trait treats all mental stats as 2 higher and adds +1 to the caster level for all spells and Bloodline/Domain/Mystery abilities cast using a class providing any of the following: the Aquatic, Elemental (Water), or Marid Bloodlines; Elemental (Water) or Waves Mysteries; or Waves Domain.   Water Sense: Undines with this racial trait can sense vibrations in water, granting them blindsense 30 feet against creatures in contact with the same body of water.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Undine are truly amphibious being able to comfortably dwell both in and out of water. Though some perfer land over sea and some salt over freshwater, as a whole they can make their home just about anywhere so long as the climate is not too arrid or the water polluted with natural or mortal-made toxins.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Undine can be found all across Breon though the tend to be most common near large bodies of water and congregate to large port towns and cities. The largest concentration of Undine can be found the Mer'Undine sea-state of Dharaka'Lamash.
