Ayanuu

One of the younger ancient dragons, she was born some time before the fall of the Duvrhen. During the time of Duvrhen she took pity on the lesser mortals, and would frequently give them aid and shelter, many peoples ancient survival was thanks to her without them even knowing it. After the fracturing she roamed the new world, until in Arginthorn she found 7 young white dragons seemingly abandoned and decided to raise them as her own. She found Arginthorn before Nimrog and was disgusted by the destruction he brought with him, finding it quite pleasing when he was sealed away by the old Oakenbust clans. This proved not to be a permanent confinement with the arrival of Heldian exiles and the formation of Westerstrum leading to his release. Unwilling to risk his destructive nature reaching her children, she cursed Nimrog with the most powerful magic she could muster, eating him away from the inside for as long as the two live. Then, in what is assumed to be a move to prevent his curse from being lifted she vanished.

Before she fled, she once again took pity on the mortals she believed to have been mistreated, aiding the exiles from Westerstrum who crossed over the mountains. While at times the exiles attacked her out of ignorance, she stayed dedicated to showing them she was of no threat. The people ended up viewing her as a sort of protector deity and built statues of her all over the lands they settled in, much to her amusement. As the people grew more attached to her, she taught them magic and helped guide the development of the Frostfall Order. It is even believed that she returned to aid them in casting the spell that brought the eternal winter, and today the towns of Frostfall are still protected by the guardians she made for them. Her children still reside in the mountains separating Frostfall from Westerstrum and like their adoptive mother are viewed as protector guardians of Frostfall.

Should she die before Nimrog, his curse will be lifted and he will be free to roam and destroy at his will again. She knows the curse has not yet killed him, and fears he will take out his anger on her children and Frostfall should he outlived her. Preventing this by hiding has become her primary motive.
