Wyrm's Rest
Wyrm's Rest is a collection of Islands shrouded by thick mist where most dragon's call their ancestral roots. Most dragonborns make an exodus during their life to visit Wyrm's Rest at least once. These islands also contain the gathering sanctum of the Council of the Nine Scales. As well as training grounds for the Scalewardens, which are a group of warriors that have draconic blood within their veins or chosen champions of members of the Council of Nine Sclaes, these warriors are trained of how to defend dragons and then are sent to protect a dragon from the Council of the Nine Scales.
The collection of the three islands are each guarded by powerful water elementals that surround the shores. The first island is dominated by a massive volcano that continuously spews hot ash and molten lava, making it a dangerous place for most living creatures. However, the island is also home to powerful fire elementals that dwell in the depths of the volcano, guarding the island against any intruders. This Volcano stands the Valdrakken tower which is a giant tower with an exposed council room on top to house all 9 members of the Council of 9 scales. Also built into the Volcano is the Scalewarden's main barracks guarded by magic set up by Aurinax to protect the training grounds from the volcano's might.
The second island is known for its vats of acid and poison (used to be the home of Slytharis), which are guarded by venomous creatures and poisonous plants. The island is treacherous to navigate, and even a single misstep can result in a fatal encounter with the poisonous creatures that dwell on the island. This island houses many different places where Scalewardens are sent to do survivalist training.
The third island is dominated by a thick mountain top that is surrounded by arcane magic swirling around it. The mountain is a source of powerful magic, and it is rumored that Sylvera the Blade of the Arcane conducted arcane experiments and creating powerful spells on this mountain top. The mountain is also home to powerful magical creatures, such as golems and elementals, that are fiercely protective of their domain.
Wyrm's Rest is home to many dragons most of them are young or wyrmlings with some adults to watch them and protect them. As well no one can teleport into Wyrm's Rest without extremely powerful magic not typical of most individuals who can cast teleportation magic. There really isn't any humanoid settlements on any part of the Wyrm's Rest except there are some Dragonborn cities that are here worshipping the different dragons.
