Mark of Detection
The Mark of Detection grants abilities that enable its possessor to discern the presence of threats, from poisoned food to scrying eyes. The half-elves of House Medani carry the Mark of Detection. One of the youngest of the dragonmarked houses, House Medani organized into a mercantile house as a result of the War of the Mark that ended fifteen hundred years ago. Despite the fact that it has stood as an established mercantile house for fifteen centuries, some of the older houses still view House Medani as an upstart. Unconcerned with the opinions of its peers, House Medani controls the Warning Guild, which offers services related to personal protection. House Medani originated in Breland and continues to concentrate its efforts in the central region of Khorvaire. Trait Mark of Detection Dragonmark Cantrip Detect Magic and Read Aura. Ancestry Feats
Remember, ancestry feats with the dragonmark trait require you to have the dragonmark trait yourself. Half-elves with the Mark of Detection bloodline can take the Least Dragonmark feat. If you are not part of a bloodline with the mark, the Least Dragonmark feat is uncommon for you.
Least DragonmarkFeat 1
dragonmark
Prerequisites You have the dragonmark heritage trait
You manifest a dragonmark, a sign you are connected to the Draconic Prophecy. Drawing on this power gives you the ability to cast dragonmark spells. You gain the least dragonmark focus spell from your mark and a focus pool of 1. You gain the Trained proficiency in dragonmark attack rolls and DCs. You gain the dragonmark trait, the trait specific to your mark, and access to that marks ancestry feats.
The rules for dragonmark spells are summarized in the Key Terms section on the dragonmark page, and the full rules for focus spells appear here.
Dragonmark WhipFeat 1
dragonmark
You have learned how to manipulate your dragonmark to separate from your body to some degree. You spend 10 minutes focusing your marks magic, imprinting it with the potential of a bladed scarf, flail, meteor hammer, spiked chain, or whip. When you have a free hand, you can spend a single interact action to cause your dragonmark to separate from your body, forming the weapon in your free hand; a second interact action returns it to tattoo form. Your dragonmark weapon functions as the imprinted weapon and can be etched with runes or affixed with talismans as normal, which are suppressed when the weapon is in tattoo form. It also becomes an arcane focus.
You can only have one dragonmark weapon prepared at a time. If you prepare a second one, any runes on the previous weapon that are valid for the new weapon are transferred between them at no cost, but you lose any inapplicable runes.
Eye of Medani Feat 1

Frequency once per day
Trigger you fail a Perception check.

Dragonmark CantripFeat 3

You gain the dragonmark cantrip spells associated with your mark. These cantrips are modified like other dragonmark spells; losing certain traits and components. A cantrip is automatically heightened to half your level rounded up.
Prophetic VisionsFeat 3
uncommondivinationdivinedragonmarkmark of detection
Access Must be a worshiper of Aureon, and must have received training from the Voice of Aureon.
As you undertake your training as a Medani prophet, you begin to receive powerful visions of the past and future. These visions often connect to your current location, such that you are far more likely to see an image of the ancient battles between quori and giant if you are in Xen'drik. When you enter a new location, such as a room or corridor, you receive a vision related to one thing out of the ordinary. The GM determines what it is, or whether there's nothing reasonable to pick up, skipping obvious clues that can be easily noticed without a check or specifically looking for them. You learn only that an area or object is suspicious, but not why it's suspicious. For example, if you entered a study with a large bloodstain on the ground, the bloodstain is so obviously suspicious it's evident to you already, so the GM might note that there's something suspicious about the desk drawer instead. You would then need to investigate the drawer further to find out what specifically is out of the ordinary. Prophetic Visions doesn't reveal whether creatures are suspicious. You don't typically get any benefit when you leave and come back to a place, though if a major change has happened there and time has passed, the GM might determine that you do.

Visions of the PastFeat 9
uncommondivinationdivinedragonmarkmark of detection
Prerequisites Medani Prophet
Frequency once per day
By spending 10 minutes in deep meditation, you peer into the past. You can ask three questions regarding the past of the area you are in. You receive your answers as a combination of indistinct sensory impressions, as determined by the GM. For example, if you ask "Who killed Borestes?" you might learn that it was a male half-orc wielding an axe, but you will not learn the name of the killer. If you happen to be familiar with this particular half-orc, you might instinctively recognize him. In general, however, the imagery is vague and blurred; however, you might catch a particularly vivid image, such as a precise look at the killer's distinctive axe. The answers you receive come not from any deity, but from your dragonmark's supernatural connection to the past. As such, treat the answers as coming from an effectively omniscient being. However, you will only receive responses to questions regarding events that occurred within your line of sight, and any magical effect that would have interfered with scrying automatically conceals past events from this power. For example, you might ask a question regarding a crime committed at a particular site, but if the character who committed that crime was under the effect of Nondetection at the time, the response will be completely indecipherable. This ability works best when you ask specific questions: The more vague the question you ask, the more vague the response will be. The maximum period you can look back through time is based on the strength of the dragonmark whose power you expend.
