Nanlie

Following the collapse, the elves split into many groups the origins of which are largely unknown, one such group was the Nanlie, the woodland folk, a migratory people of many tribes moving from camp to camp every few months when hunting and foraging grow thin, their movements guided either by a council of elders or by a singular leader, the leadership differs by tribe. Though the tribes differ in many ways elves of the Nanlie all tend to be fast being raised to be skilled hunters with bows making the most of their environment and understanding of the wildlife that surrounds them. Generally, when elves of the Nanlie reach adulthood, they receive ornate curving tattoos on their face or arms each set unique to the bearer.  Born many decades after the collapse of elven civilisation, Cyron’s tribe was regularly on the move as though trying to avoid being tracked, the area they travelled stretched many hundreds of square miles between the coastal planes and wooded slopes of the mountains. From his birth, itself and auspicious sign under a new moon, Cyron was marked out as special his wide eyes reflecting the moon and a strange calmness, unusual to young children, marking him out as special. The name Cyron itself translates to New Moon, his parents believed that his birth was a sign of hope for the remaining elves.    Cyron’s life began the way maybe kids' lives do, though his parents were well respected amongst the tribe while he was marked as special, with learning necessities of life from hunting to swimming, though he was not good at the latter, and what little histories of his people remained in the form of stories and legends. Throughout these early years, Cyron found an innate connection to the night and the creatures that dwell within, often sitting with wolves friendly to his tribe and staring up at the moon as though it spoke to him, on some rare occasions in those days strange dreams did come to him aways including the moon. Over these years Cyron displayed an aptitude for nature magic particularly that associated with the moon beginning his training with the tribes lone spellcaster.
