Gremlin

Small, secretive, and intuitively competent with machinery. The gremlins were first found in the world rather recently. With the pollution of the cities, combined with the scraps of arcane energy and sprawling multitude of dark corners hidden in the lands of civilization, gremlins were able to evolve uncontested. Most gremlins prefer to build their hidden cities in the sewers, occasionally taking over abandoned buildings that have interesting machinery or structure. Gremlins have a powerful innate understanding for the working of machinery, and an equally strong desire to hoard whatever machine parts they can get hold of. Their natural magic aids in the theft of and tampering with machines, helping the gremlins to go unnoticed. When a machine mysteriously breaks or impossibly goes missing, somewhere a gremlin is sure to be fawning over its new prized possession.
