Avóða was a jútrilían elven country in what is now northern Amþax in southwestern Jælondis, home to the Avóðans who fled mostly to Fjún in the Southlands during and following the terrible Fell Wars forty years ago. Centered on the city of Venneh, it was bordered by Vaðnos to the east, Kmarana to the southeast, Telþalía to the south, Maþú to the west, and Þamta and Erenúm to the north.
It was one of the few elven countries in Jútrilía that remained a kingdom, though the last two rulers of the Hevóneih Dynasty, had granted the avóðans certain rights to placate a growing anti-monarchist sentiment. Following the death of Fúmas Hevóneih during the Fell Wars, the latter became the dominant faction in avóðan politics, and while holidays related to the monarchy are still celebrated by many avóðans, the royal family has withdrawn from public life.
Avóða was known for its light cavalry, considered some of the best among jútrilían elves, and the oracles of Inhút in Venneh were known throughout Jútrilía for their wisdom.

Structure

Avóða was divided into two regions, namely Ófeivóða or Inner Avóða encompassing the heartlands around the lake Vón on one hand, and Ilþónevóða or Outer Avóða around it on the other. Most of the population in the former region was sedentary and worked in agriculture, industry or fishing, while the rest followed a semi-nomadic lifestyle similar to that in neighbouring human countries, producing much of Avóða's livestock and textiles.

Disbandment
