Magic in the BloodMoon setting appears in a multitude of different forms and ways. The eves believed that magic comes from the stars above, while the dwarves believe it originates from the stones below. The people of Tataro say that magic has a sort of dualism, with some aspects of magic coming from life giving water of the rivers, with opposite aspects coming from the death brininging sands of the desert. Other cultures say that magic can be drawn from the three moons, and others say the source is deep beneath the waves of the Endless Sea. Whatever its origin, magic in this world is a mysterious and complex phenomena which can be acessed in many different ways. In some places, these aspects are even prized to such a high degree, that the rulers of a land only take advisors of magical blood. For example, in the land of Eclesia, the greatest advisors of the God Emperor were Sorcerrers of magic descent. Farther east in Ifitia, there is a rigid caste system, with those born with great magic at the top of the hierarchy and those without born lower. Marriage and even sexual intercourse outside of one's own caste is prohibited by the gods of this land in order to keep magical bloodlines pure. In Hobgoblin society magic power in harnessed for war, and those who show signs of magical ability are trained their whole lives to fight for thier Karraka and any other kind of magic is shunned. Magic is an important part of every society in Velurin and lands beyon, in some shape or form. Those blessed with magical abilities are recognized as being different, and in many ways gifted. But the question of where magic comes from is higly debated and contested among countless cultures and peoples.
