Kraal Invasion of Mistwatch
While some say the invasion started in the Summer of 217 C.Y with Kraal raids testing the defenders, it wasn't until late autumn that it started in earnest with an alliance between numerous Kraal clans led by self-proclaimed Kraal-King the Orc Magnar Urd'var and the Two-headed Dragon Gwyyrdaw. While the Orcs invaded Orlan the Dragon's minions conquered Bellam and together their armies rode to Mistwatch, sending undead soldiers marching beneath the waters of the lake towards Mistwatch.
Mistwatch itself had been sabotaged by the Dragon's minions, blightening their fields, destroying food supplies and conjuring bad weather over the city. While these problems were eventually overcome by the adventurers Helfrid harding, Elaina Zeiss, Gregory Craddik and Ullr along with a backstabbing kraal known as Bark and a zealot known as Arjun, the damage had already been done.
On the 9th of Thaw the siege of the city of Mistwatch started in earnest and a Kraal tribe had infiltrated the city via the Lake, marching an army of undead across it's bottom. While the frostclaw tribe and their leader "Winter's Bride" where vanquished they had destroyed the wharves and turned it's population into undead.
Duke Iyorith was on route with a hasty put together relief army totaling 1200 soldiers and some of the finest warriors of the Iron Vanguard. They camped in a nearby village for the night, planning to attack by dawn, pincering the invaders between the walls and their shields with the use war-wagons to create make-shift battlefield fortifications. However, during that evening the city surrendered to the Dragon, forcing a haste retreat from the Duke in order to prevent the loss of his army.
