Primus
Primus is beyond the deities that make up the 13 gods and goddesses. They are the embodiment of time itself, supposedly having begun time and is rumoured to be the creator of Meneus himself. Mechanus is the grand experiment of Primus which is run by swarms of thousands of modrons who maintain the clockwork. Scholars often say that the plane of Mechanus itself is what causes the ever continuing progression of time. Primus himself is chained within Mechanus somewhere deep within the machinery. His prison is self imposed however unlike many of the other beings of the greater realms, as he chained himself within the machine to channel as much of his power as possible to maintaining the order of the universe. Despite this, he still has the ability to extend his mind out towards the other planes, and often manifests himself wherever he has business, although which much decreased power. This allows him to extend the will of time across Mechanus and command Bosh to his will. Bosh is the demigod that replaced Primus. He was a Progenus, chosen specifically for his commitment to the preservation of balance. Bosh had zero devotion to anyone, hence why he was chosen to replace Primus, and was brought to the plane and given the powers of a god but never given the status of one. Many of the other greater beings frown upon Bosh and despise Primus for their decision to elevate a mortal being to divine status.
Because he is not one of the main gods, Primus does not demand nor require any worship. Despite this, churches and mission still arise from those who see him as having divine status. These institutions are small, often having no more than a hundred individuals from the local area that come from. Often the churches and missions merge and comprise the same entity. Almost universally for worshippers of Primus they devote themselves to unobstructing the flow of time and the continuation of the natural order of things.
