Grand Master

A full member of a trade guild, who has produced a master piece. Also called a Master Craftsmen, and many guilds have unique titles. In many cities it is illegal for non-masters to practice their trade independently.

Qualifications

Qualifications vary from guild to guild but generally a Master must have finished an Apprenticeship and a period as Journeyman. After this the Journeyman may submit a work considered to be a Masterpiece to their guild hall, after which the current masters will decide whether the hopeful is deserving of the title.
