From what little records survived over the millenia, scholars believe the Ilyxis sector was first discovered and colonized somewhere near the start of the Age of Strife. The colonization effort was to be short-lived, as the sector was fully cut off from the Imperium by warp storms when the Age of Strife began in earnest shortly after.

ExpeditionThe Ilyxis sector was rediscovered after the Mechanicus had sent out an explorator fleet based on a vague reference in a long forgotten and half bombed out database, all in the slight hope there would be salvageable STCs. They were followed in their wake by a wave of hopeful colonists under the guidance of The Tyrannus Dynasty , somewhere in the later half of M41.
