The Day of the Emperor's Judgement

A yearly event in Gaemorra where the bold, the daring and the desperate try to claw their way out of a life of misery and into the bright light of the Emperor's grace. Teams of people are deployed on Rock Of Suffering with minimal supplies, forcing them underground as soon as possible as staying on the surface would mean certain death. Those that manage to survive for a set amount of time, as determined on a yearly basis depending on the conditions of the planet, are considered blessed and will be allowed to live a life of luxury in the top levels of one of the hives.
